Frances Mason

At the beginning of her career, Frances Mason won international violin competitions and launched her career playing several concerti at the BBC Proms with orchestras such as the LPO, Philharmonia and BBC Symphony and with distinguished conductors including Sir Colin Davis.

Her individual and expressive virtuosity blossomed in the following long chamber music career when she played in the Music Group of London, Rasumovsky String Quartet, Dartington Piano Trio and Tagore String Trio.  Frances has done many broadcasts for the BBC, toured abroad extensively and many numerous recordings.  She is a valued  coach on chamber music courses and was for many years a Professor at the Royal College of Music.
